I have always wanted to make a difference in other people's lives. I wasn't sure how I would, but I knew I was meant to be that person for other people. Now that I am in my 40's, I have a better picture of what that is to look like. God has placed me in a position to be able to share my story and his glory to help others like me.
I had a very challenging first marriage and was blessed with my first daughter. Which has taught me motherhood wasn't what I expected. I later met my current husband who has taken her in as his own and later was blessed with 2 more beautiful children.
The last few years have been crazy to say the least. My eldest was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 7 years ago and has been struggling with behavioral and mental health issues. It has been a battle getting her the support she needs both in school and medically. My son was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy the summer before kindergarten. The first year was one doctor's appointment after another to figure out the game plan to keep him independently mobile as long as possible.
Then there is my baby girl, and she is a spit fire. I am here to share my story in hopes to help others who have gone through what I have or are on the same journey as I am. God has been by my side throughout it all and has paved my path. I will share the good, the bad and the ugly in hopes to help others.
I will be sharing my life as a wife and working mom of special needs children and how I balance it all out with the help of Jesus and the people he has brought into my life.
